How do I use FTP ?

First of all you need to have a FTP client application. Some popular ones are FileZilla, SmartFTP, WS-FTP (ipswitch.com). We recommend using SmartFTP or FileZilla. When you open the program you will need to enter your host location ftp.domain.com where domain.com is your actual domain name. Then enter the username and password you were assigned. When you are connected to your account, you should go inside correct file folder to publish. Following are the folder names to which you need to publish your web site files. cPanel Linux Hosting - public_html, Plesk Windows Hosting - httpdocs, HELM Windows Hosting - wwwroot.
